It is a gradual learning program for kids of all ages where the major theme is ‘Learning while having fun’. The program consists of 10 modules of 12 sessions each = 120 sessions with 5 x 3 day junior golf camps after the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th and 10th modules and can facilitate young golfers from beginner to top class tournament player over a period of time.

It is only natural that most kids do not know where they want to be in sports until they achieve a certain age. Due to the many other pressures they have when young, school studies, exams, etc That is why having fun while learning golf is of paramount importance so that they can escape from their normal pressures. At the same time, through gradually learning golf we believe it helps them generally in lifestyle and general education as the game requires learning physical skills as well as many mental / emotional aspects as in every walk of life.

Lifestyle For Juniors and All Golfers - Mental / Emotional Examples

Learning self-confidence and how to maintain it
Self Control – temperament – overcoming adversity
Visual – feel – sound imagery – memory – observation
Good sportsmanship towards others
Perseverance – patience
Developing certain routines
Rules and Etiquette
Mixing with other kids and people and making more friends
When to attack and when to defend
How to attack and defend at the same time
Daily – mid term – long term –improvement plan – in golf as in life

On the physical side it is often stated that golf is not a very physically demanding game, however, this is a fallacy to some degree, as we actually use every part of the body to swing a club, though not violently, not to forget the miles of walking every time we play in the healthy golf course environment.

The obvious other advantage for kids to gradually learn golf is that compared to other rugged and speed sports, you can play golf forever and it is well known that the golf course is a great meeting place later in life no matter what career they have chosen.

At a young age it is still good for kids to participate in other sports, which most champion golfers have done.

For the first year, depending on time constraints, we would recommend most kids take up the 1st 2 modules of the program which will provide them a solid introduction to the game both in the driving range and the golf course. Learning safety will be important also. We would envisage having a tournament after two modules and they may also gain their proficiency certificate, which will also require some basic rules and etiquette knowledge. A few of the module examples with subject headings are enclosed for teachers and parents perusal to provide an example of the longer term objective without making it too complex for the kids at an early stage.
