Tee-off to raise funds
Guests at the Make-A-Wish Foundation's fifth chairty golf
tournament yesterday were greeted by a pleasant surprise.
All 66 of their buggies were decked with recycled
materials, the result of a decorating competition in which
25 students from five polytechnics and junior colleges were
invited to participate.
Guest of Honour Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for
Community Development, Youth and Sports, later declared
National Junior College and Temasek Junior College the
joint winners of the competition. Dr Balakrishnan also led
the tee-off to the tournament, which was held at Sentosa
Golf Club.
It was attended by 133 representatives from sponsors such
as Morgan Stanley, AMN AMRO and NTUC Fairprice.
