The World Golfers Championship Singapore 2008 finals held at Keppel Club
For immediate Release: Friday 10th October 2008 - World Golfers Championship Singapore Communications
The finals of the World Golfers Championship Singapore 2008 series were held at Keppel Club on Wednesday 8th October 2008.
The Singapore National Finals were graced by Her Royal Highness, Princess Brigitta of Sweden and WGC Founder, Sven Tumba.
Once again National Service Resort & Country Club members shone through with two of their players going on to
represent Singapore at the WGC world finals at Mission Inn Golf Resort in Orlando from 21st to 29th November 2008.
The WGC 2008 finals results were as follows: -
0-5 Handicap index division
Champion - Daren Lim Lijie - Tanah Merah Country Club - Nett 72
6 -10 Handicap Index division
Champion - Harmeet Sahney - Royal Calcutta Golf Club -Nett 67
11-15 Handicap Index division
Champion - Francis Tan Tor Hiang - National Service Resort & Country Club - Nett 66
16-20 Handicap Index division
Champion - Nicholas Sim Hak Teck - National Service Resort & Country Club - Nett 70
21-25 Handicap Index division
Champion - Ryan Lee - My Golf Kaki - Nett 61
The WGC Singapore, an annual event on the Singapore amateur golf calendar, will stage the Singapore Grand Finals at Keppel Club on Wednesday 8th October 2008 where five of the winners will head off to Orlando, Florida for an all expenses paid trip to the finals to represent Singapore on the international stage.
