The tenth and final round of the World Golfers Championship
Singapore 2008 series was held at the Sembawang Country Club on Friday 28th September 2008.
The Sembawang Country Club results were as follows:-
0 - 5 Handicap Index division
Champion - Simon Karvell - Palm Resort Golf & Country Club - 77 Nett
6 - 10 Handicap Index division
Champion - Wong Ang Chai - Changi Golf Club - 70 Nett
11 - 15 Handicap Index division
Champion - William Chua Poh Yong - National Service Resort & Country Club - 69 Nett
16 - 20 Handicap Index division
Champion - Awtar Singh Brar - SGA Golf Club - 72 Nett
21 - 25 Handicap Index division
Champion - Ryan Lee - My Golf Kaki - 64 Nett
National Service Resort & Country Club leads the qualifiers
with sixteen champions contesting the finals in October followed by Orchid Country Club with five champions.
The WGC Singapore, an annual event on the Singapore amateur golf calendar, will stage the Singapore Grand Finals at Keppel Club on Wednesday 8th October 2008 where five of the winners will head off to Orlando, Flordia for an all expenses paid trip to the finals to represent Singapore on the international stage.
The Singapore National Finals will be graced by HRH Princess Brigitta of Sweden and WGC Founder, Sven Tumba.
